Daily Drop-in Campus Tour

Recommended for K-8 students, prospective graduate students, and adults. This free 45-minute walking tour provides an introduction to UW-Madison history, academics, research, and culture. Check-in is at the Memorial Union Campus and Community Information Desk. Tours are not offered on state holidays and the schedule varies during university break periods.

The Daily Drop-in Campus Tour is offered Memorial Day through Labor Day at 1 p.m.

Tours are not offered on July 4.

Costs and Reservation Information

Daily Drop-In Campus Tours are free and advanced registration is not required for groups of 5 or fewer.

Groups of 10 or more are asked to make reservations at least one week in advance by contacting the Campus Visit Program at cvpspecialist@uwmad.wisc.edu or 608-265-9500.

Parking and Arrival instructions

We recommend parking in the city’s State Street Campus Ramp, located north of University Avenue with entrances on both Lake and Frances streets. Get started planning your visit or contact us for more information. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in.
