Daily Drop-in Campus Tour

Student tour guides will introduce you to campus through this 45-minute walking tour, showcasing UW-Madison history, academics, research, and culture. This tour is recommended for K-8 students and adults.

Drop-in Tour Schedule and Times

The Daily Drop-in Campus Tour is offered throughout the summer – Monday, June 18 through Sunday, September 2*:

  • Twice daily, Monday through Sunday**
  • At 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

*Fall tours: We will share the fall tour schedule as the season approaches.

**Drop-in tours are not offered on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, July 4
  • Tuesday, August 21
  • Friday, August 31

Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street – Campus and Community Information Desk (1st floor)

Costs and Reservation Information

Daily Drop-In Campus Tours are free and advanced registration is not required for groups of 5 or fewer.

Groups of 6 or more are asked to make reservations at least one week in advance by contacting the Campus Visit Program at or 608-265-9500.

Parking and Arrival instructions

We recommend parking in the city’s State Street Campus Ramp, located north of University Avenue with entrances on both Lake and Frances streets. Get started planning your visit or contact us for more information. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in.
